Designer Fabric: Diane von Furstenberg

September 2, 2014

By Tab Byrum

I hope everyone had an awesome long weekend and rested up.  We slept late, had a mini Doctor Who marathon, went to see The Giver and cooked steaks out on the grill.  Now it’s time to start thinking about all those fall decorating and holiday projects for clients, onward and upward!!!
Before the Spring 2015 fashion shows start later this week,  I want to take a look at a couple of collections that are already available in the way of fabrics for your home created by fashion design legends and the first one is
Diane von Furstenberg for Kravet.

This collection is von Furstenberg’s first home fabric collection and it’s exclusive to Kravet.  DVF has always been known for incorporating bold prints and patterns into the designs of her legendary wrap dress, and now you can get that same look in your home.

Animal prints, geometrics, bold pops of color or black and white, it’s all here and ready to dress your home in DVF style.  Take a look and see if there’s something in our little home fashion show you need at your house.  Enjoy!!!!

This is only a small sampling of what’s available in the DVF collection for Kravet, visit the Kravet website to see all the available fabrics and trims and find out where they’re available in your area or talk to a designer.

Thursday of this week will be the first day of New York Fashion Week for Spring 2015.  At the shows designers will premiere their collections and looks for the upcoming Spring Season, we’ll talk more later in the week about Fashion Week, it’s history and origins and take a look at some of the collections along the way.
