Sunflowers are one of my favorite flowers to use in arrangements, especially this time of year in late Summer/early Fall. Sunflowers are one of those blooms that are totally able to stand alone or look great in a mixed flower arrangement, bringing their bright sunshine yellow for a great punch of color.
Sunflowers for me are a more rustic flower, you know the kind that looks great in mason jars, buckets, pottery, and barrels. Let’s take a look at sunflowers and their happy faces. Enjoy!!!
A galvanized bucket with sunflowers and cattails is so simple and “fallish”
An arrangement of only sunflowers has a huge impact
Hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers to mix with sunflowers, here they’ve added a little Queen Anne’s Lace also.
Sunflowers in Mason jars is an easy relaxed look you can do for a cookout or BBQ,
as well as old bottles or empty wine bottles
Sunflowers also make a lovely subject for artwork, love the combo of blue and white pottery and sunflowers
Remember, you can always use most any container like this barrel. You’ll need to put a glass vase in the barrel to hold your water and flowers, but you’ll still get the desired look of flowers in a barrel.
Sunflowers always add a great color punch to any mixed bouquet or arrangement
