Going Grey

October 1, 2014

I’m really into the color grey right now, as is much of the world.  I’ve always liked grey, but never really considered using it much in my home decor until now.

Recently I told you that we were looking at doing grey and white as the color scheme for our kitchen remodel and in an earlier post I told you I was working up a grey and brown scheme and design for a redo of our bedroom.

Grey is showing up EVERYWHERE, it’s on chairs, wallpaper, cars and walking down the fashion runways in many different forms.  I know grey isn’t for everyone, I recently had a client tell me that grey was “too contemporary” for her, we are trying to lighten up her home and go from dark reds and browns to a more neutral color scheme.  We’ve settled on creams, light blue and light brown and getting lots of pops of color from her amazing art collection and accessories.

Grey for me is a neutral, so many other colors look great with it from yellow to white to turquoise and hot pink and brown.  So, today we are taking a look at the trend of the color grey in home decor.  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.  Enjoy!!!!

This room is so sharp with the grey, chartreuse and white.  Don’t you love all the pattern?

Of course Yellow and Grey always look great together,
I’m working on a Yellow and Grey project that I hope to share in the future.

I love the mixture of grey and other neutral colors with the different wood tones from the tabletop and floor.
