Yesterday we talked about the design trend of Industrial Design, and that got me thinking about a shop here in Oklahoma City that Michael and I recently visited called Verdigris. Verdigris is one of those shops that has some of everything, if you have a creative mind this is like being a kid in a candy store. It’s located in downtown OKC in an area called Mid-town, a very up and coming part of Downtown Oklahoma City.
Join me today as I take you on a tour of Verdigris and all they have to offer. Be inspired and Enjoy!!!
Bins and bins of “stuff”
There are lots of these corbels that would look great in the kitchen holding open concept shelving.
I LOVE drawers, and this old card catalog fits the bill.
This is the shop that inspired the “Decorating With Maps” post several weeks ago.
You see these large sign letters in lots of magazines being used in decorating.
There are a pair of these caned back chairs, with some new up to date fabric
they would make great bedroom chairs or occasional chairs in a living room.
This old wooden cog is a piece of sculpture all by itself, so sharp hanging on a wall.
Lots of potential table lamp bases in this collection of brass candlesticks.
Check out these hanging light fixtures made from drums, perfect for that musician in your life.
Another great pair of chairs, new fabric and maybe paint them a color
and you’ve got a whole new look.
In the right space this bicycle wheel sculpture would be fab.
Great storage in this old Post Office box.
This red child’s chair reminds me of a black one we all used as kids at my Grandma’s house.
Remember to think outside of the box, there’s potential in lots of things and repurposing is awesome if it’s a look you like.
