A Door A Day: Big And Fun

Today’s door is on the home across the street from yesterday’s blue and silver door, this homeowner liked what I did across the street, contacted me and asked me if I could help her.  Five years later I still do her door and help her with decorating the interior of her home for holidays and some of her parties.

The front entrance and door on this home is very large so it takes BIG stuff to pull off something impressive.  The homeowner loves traditional colors of red, green and gold and as you can see from the entrance decorations they are a very fun family as well.  I’m hoping to get back to the home and take pics of the inside soon and share those with you in the next couple of weeks, but for now enjoy a look at the entrance to this beautiful home.  Enjoy!!!

We only decorate around this door for Christmas, so I have to install the grapevine first that I use for a base to attach everything to the house.  I start at the top/center with the mesh ribbon and do all three colors to the left from center to the end then do the same on the right side.  I then add the LED lights, then go back and fill in with all the candy ornaments, using the candy to cover up wires, cords and any gaps in the mesh ribbon.

I love this door, it’s so fun and festive and yes it’s BIG.  I hope you enjoy it as much as the neighbors and I do.

All photos are my own.
