A Door A Day: Holiday Traditional

December 9, 2014

This door is one I’ve done for several years, it’s a very traditional style home that I’ve helped the owner redo the interiors over the last few years (maybe a post on that later) and I’ve helped them with their holidays for about the last 6 years.

The traditional red and green decorations of the door coordinate so well with the style and red brick of the house, I hope you enjoy looking at this one as much as I enjoy doing it and find some inspiration.  Enjoy!!!

As before I start with the Red Mesh Ribbon, then add the second Mesh Ribbon.  The second Mesh was a champagne color with red and green woven into it.  Then I added the white lights to the top of the ribbon followed by the decorative garland that’s bright green with red and green ornaments attached to it.  I added the big chunky garlands to each end of the door decoration and then the big ornaments, with one in the center and one on each end, and finally the 3 big green light bulbs high and centered.

This is the view from the street and the client’s drive-way.
