Dollar Decorating Set-Up: St. Patrick’s Day

So here it is, the BIG REVEAL.  Today we are going to take a look at the table I set up for St. Patrick’s Day, using all the decorations I showed you yesterday.  Remember I shopped at Dollar Tree, Big Lots, Michael’s Craft Stores and Party Galaxy.

I set up the table in the back yard against the fence we share with a neighbor, I have to admit that this was one of the best spots I could find and it was one of the prettiest days we’ve had so far with not a cloud in the big blue sky so I wanted to get outside, I was nervous yesterday because it rained all day.  So let’s see what I came up with and let me know what you think.  Enjoy!!!

I’m very happy with the floral centerpiece, it’s white hydrangeas, green dianthus and solidago.  I put a vase of water in the hat then arranged the flowers in it so I could get it just right.

Remember that it’s all about layering, the green tablecloth on the table first then I ran a bunched up white table cloth down the center, then layered on top of that with the felt cut-outs, the coins and sequin shamrocks and finally with the serving bowls cups and plates.

Green is one of the easiest colors to work with, all the different shades of green work together nicely.

I stuck with the green, white and gold theme.  Pick your colors and work with that, it makes it much easier.

Of course the gold coins and green shamrocks add a little sparkle and pizazz that all parties need.

I spent a little over $80 on everything with of course fresh flowers being the biggest splurge, but I couldn’t resist.

Let me know what you think of the first Dollar Decorating Post, I just looked at the calendar and realized Easter is only a month away so I’m off to start planning that post and squeeze in some design work also, gotta pay the bills. Happy Thursday!!!
