A long time ago in a galaxy you are in right now a whole new level of geekdom was created, and it was called Star Wars (cue the music). That’s right today is Star Wars Day, a day created to celebrate all things having to do with the mega block buster movie series that has spawned countless books, cartoons, six movies with a seventh coming out later this year and billions and billions of dollars worth of merchandise, some of which you can use to decorate your home. I thought today we would embrace our inner geeks and take a look at how the world of design has embraced Star Wars, both the good and the bad, and if you haven’t figured it out yet, today is Star Wars day because the date (May the fourth) sounds like you’re saying “May the force” with a slight speech impediment, which is closer to something from Spaceballs than Star Wars, but anyway, Enjoy!!!
