Happy Birthday Donald Duck, on this day in 1934 Donald Duck made his debut in Disney’s The Wise Little Hen. In recognition of that, June 9th is Donald Duck Day so I thought we would take a look at Donald through the years and some of the designs he’s inspired.
Donald has appeared in more than 150 theatrical films, most of them in the 1930’s and 1940’s, and we’ve also gotten to know Donald’s love interest Daisy, his nephews Huey, Dewey and Louis as well as Uncle Scrooge McDuck. Donald is usually seen as the hot-headed counterpart to Mickey’s cool-headed hero and is often part of a comedic trio along with Mickey Mouse and Goofy. So, join me in wishing Donald Duck Happy Birthday and enjoy Donald through the years.
