We continue our look at roses, the birth flower for the month of June, by looking at red roses and pink roses.
Red roses are meant to be given to those that you want to show love, passion or great respect to. Red roses are also used for people who have shown great courage, thus the reason you see them used in military ceremonies. A large bouquet of red roses is often portrayed as an ultimate showing of love as well as the scattering of red rose petals on a bed or floating in a bath. I have to be honest and tell you I like red roses, but they aren’t my favorite, I think that’s because they’ve become so associated with holidays such as Valentines and Christmas, but they are beautiful. Pink roses are meant to symbolize gentility, femininity, elegance and refinement. Pink blooms have also become synonymous with the fight against breast cancer since pink is seen as the ultimate feminine color.
Today we are going to take a look at red and pink roses both in their natural state as well as in arrangements and bouquets. Enjoy!!!
