It’s hard to go into a store lately that sells decorative accessories for the home and outdoors and not find a collection of lanterns. Lanterns are a great item to decorate with, they, of course, can be used to house burning candles as well as plants and floral arrangements.

Groups of lanterns look amazing together, scatter groups of lanterns around your yard during your next outdoor party, or gather a group of three on your entryway table and allow they candlelight from them to be the only light in the room.

Place a lantern on each step leading up to your front porch or on each step of your home’s staircase. Lanterns make wonderful centerpieces for a party or dining table, a lantern with a lit candle surrounded by small, simple flower arrangement would be gorgeous. Today we are going to take a look at lanterns and how they have been used then I’ll share some great buys on lanterns from some of the top retailers. Let me know your thoughts on lanterns and if you ever use them. Enjoy!!!

Wouldn’t this be beautiful for a wedding shower or reception?

These are so simple and elegant looking.

Everything about this picture speaks to me from the brick floor, the lanterns and chair to the aged wood on the walls and staircase.

So clean and elegant looking, chrome and white.

This shows how you can multi-purpose lanterns combining florals and candles.

Love this rustic and “messy” look.
