Big news in the world of fashion design this week, Ralph Lauren is stepping down as CEO of Ralph Lauren and stepping in is Stefan Larsson. Larsson is a former executive at Swedish clothing giant H&M and most recently was president at Old Navy and has helped bring Old Navy back to the forefront. Ralph Lauren founded Ralph Lauren and Polo in 1967, he started by designing neckties, today there are more than 20 different brands under the Ralph Lauren label and the Ralph Lauren brand is considered a luxury brand, the company’s founder will remain very active with the brand he created almost fifty years ago, taking on the title of Executive Chairman and Chief Creative Officer.

Ralph Lauren says he sees this as a partnership between he and Larsson. Ralph Lauren and his creations are my favorites as far as men’s clothing goes. I remember as a young teenager wanting to be able to wear those brightly colored polo shirts and how exciting it was when I was able to start getting them. It’s not a real Christmas or birthday for me unless there’s some Ralph Lauren under the tree, it has nothing to do with the fact that it’s more expensive but just the look and feel of the clothes, they are classic and yet always up to date, I guess timeless would be the best word to describe the Ralph Lauren/Polo look. My mom recently bought a pair of Ralph Lauren leopard driving moccasins and LOVES them and now wants them in other colors. Here’s a look at some Ralph Lauren creations, keep up the beautiful work sir. Enjoy!!!
