Well, today’s the day, the new Peanuts movie premieres today and I have one last post about the beloved comic and cartoon characters. Tom Everhart is an American artist and the only artist authorized by Charles Schulz to paint the Peanuts characters. Everhart and Schulz first met in 1980, Schulz was very impressed with Everhart’s ability to capture the “Schulz Line”, which is what the Schulz style of drawing his characters is called. Over the last 35 years Everhart has continued to reproduce the Peanuts characters using the combination of the Schulz Line and his own style, he has exhibited his works all over the world including the Louvre, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Rome, Chicago and the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, California. I first discovered Everhart’s works several years ago when we were in Santa Fe and a gallery there had some of his paintings on display, I bought two reproductions of his works when we were at the museum in Santa Rosa and intend to hang them in the office in the near future and decorate the room using them as inspiration. Join me today for a look at the work of Tom Everhart as he continues the work of Charles Schulz in a very artistic way, Enjoy!!!
