Fun Friday~Lenny Kravitz’s Paris Apartment

I always try to have fun here on the blog and never be too stuffy, but I thought I would start trying to focus on fun things on Fridays, you know things that get an “Oh My” or make us squeal and I’m kicking Fun Fridays off with a look at the Paris home of rocker Lenny Kravitz.

I’ve been a fan of Kravitz for quite a while, even more, when I found out his mom was Roxie Roker who starred as George Jefferson’s beautiful and ahead of her time neighbor, Helen Willis. The Kravitz abode in Paris is a 16,000 square foot, 4 story home that was originally built in 1920, the home sits on a cul-de-sac on what’s called a quiet street and backs up to a private park and the home was completely redone in 2008.  Sounds PERFECT!!!! You can supposedly rent the Paris domain for around $250,000.00 a month or if you’re willing to do a long-term lease the price goes down to $175,000.00 a month. Since I’m not quite able to afford the rental I’ll have to settle for these pictures, but it’s nice to dream, Enjoy!!!

As you can see from the entry to the house there’s a definite theme of black and white to the decor.

I always love when there’s a juxtaposition going on in a room or a home, here we have the contemporary rug, furniture and light fixture against the original and beautiful woodwork of the living room. The ultimate in mixing old and new.

Same thing here, you have a very traditional room as far as set up, woodwork and windows but it’s filled with contemporary furniture, art, and accessories.

Beautiful dining room, maybe the most traditionally furnished room in the whole house.

Here’s a peek in the master bedroom, again contemporary art and furnishings in a very French traditional room.

A closer look at the master bedroom.

Isn’t this master bathroom amazing, with the centerpiece being this gorgeous marble walk-in shower. The bathroom like the rest of the house is done in black and white.

One more look at the bathroom with the black marble encased tub and gold Pedro Friedeberg gold hand chair.
