Fun Friday ~ 1960’s Hawaiian Manse

I love to peruse real estate websites and see what’s for sale and how they’re decorated, you can get some great ideas both on what to do and what NOT to do. I was looking at Curbed recently and saw this Mid-Century dream home in Hawaii.

Construction on the house was completed in 1963 and since then the same family has owned the home, the current owner is the son of the original builder/owner. 53 years after it was originally built the home still retains all its charm, with a spiral staircase, terrazzo floors, glass walls and a large pool. The house is 4,000 square feet and sits up above a cul-de-sac with views of both the ocean and volcanoes. Join me for a little tour of this mid-century marvel and let me know if you make an offer, at $3.6 million, someone is sure to grab it up. Enjoy!!!

View of the front entrance of the home from the street.

A view from one of the many terraces that surrounds the house.

One of the living areas in the home, notice the terrazzo floors and beautiful wood paneling.

Going down…….

Now that’s a view you would never get tired of.

A look at the pool and patio area.

I love the open floor plan.

One of the bedrooms in the house.

Ahh, paradise.
