It’s almost the end of February so that means the Academy Awards are this coming weekend on Sunday evening. I LOVE the Academy Awards and while I don’t always see all the movies before the awards are handed out it’s still fun to watch the ceremony and see the set decoration, musical numbers as well as the jewels and clothes worn by the actors for their big night. I thought we would take a look this week at the homes of some of the great Oscar winning actors and actresses over the years and today we are going to start with one of the greats from the grand and glorious days of Hollywood, two-time Oscar winner, Bette Davis.
Bette Davis built Butternut Lodge in 1940 outside of Franconia, New Hampshire, it sits on 22 private acres. Butternut Lodge showed Davis’ affinity for American antiques and her “Yankee” heritage. Today you can rent Butternut Lodge and experience the life of a Hollywood legend at one of her favorite getaway spots. Let’s take a tour of Butternut Lodge, Enjoy!!!
Today you can experience the Bette Davis lifestyle by renting Butternut Lodge, the home sleeps 8 and is decorated in early American antiques, accessories, and artwork. For more information visit Franconia Notch Rentals, I’m definitely interested.
