I have to say that I have a true soft spot when it comes to paintings and illustrations of interiors, so when I first saw the artwork of today’s Tiger Flower Studio artist it truly made me smile. Mita Corsini Bland is a watercolorist who has been painting interiors since the 80’s and in 2009 published a book focusing on interiors created by famed decorator Sister Parish. She continues her work for private clients and has worked with Brunschwig and Fils painting their fabric and wallpaper collections in watercolor. today she is no longer limiting herself to interiors but finds herself also painting botanicals as well as figurative works. Mita loves to return to her native Italy as much as possible and lives with her husband who is a gallery owner and antique dealer. Her work is the first I’ve seen that reminds me so much of the interior paintings that were done by legendary decorator/artist Mark Hampton. Join me for a tour of beautiful rooms captured in watercolor by today’s artist, Mita Corsini Bland, Enjoy!!!
