I hope you’ve enjoyed our look this week at the ceramic sculptures from artist Vladimir Kanevsky, I think his floral work is just beautiful. Today we’re going to wrap up our focus on all things Kanevsky with a peek at his tableware. Kanevsky’s tableware has a very organic look to it, from the cabbage leaf plates to the pumpkin containers, his creations hearken back to antique majolica which I’ve talked about before and how much I like it. Several of the pieces are trompe┬ál’oeil, which is when pieces are painted so specific parts look three dimensional, look for butterflies. Again, I hope you’ve enjoyed this little series and I’m already looking for other artists that we can look at a little more in-depth. Enjoy!!!
