I’m very excited about today’s post, it’s my first post for a collaboration I’m doing with At Home. If you’re not familiar with At Home they are a Texas based company with large stores across the country filled with merchandise focusing on what you need to live in and love your home both inside and outside. I’m one of the several bloggers chosen by At Home to work with them, every month they’ll be giving us a choice of challenges, we choose a challenge and make it happen using products from their “aisles and aisles of style”. For my first challenge, I chose outdoor entertaining. I went to my local At Home store and found tons of merchandise I can use to freshen up a friends patio and help them throw a little party. I settled on a color theme of blue and green and as you’ll see from the pictures today it turned out great, join me for a tour of the punched up patio and get a small taste of all the great things available at At Home, Enjoy!!!

We started out with a very neutral base of brown outdoor furniture with tan cushions, you can go a lot of different ways with color choices here for accessories.

I found great things for entertaining outdoors in blues and greens, I decided to punch up the outdoor sofa and pair of chairs with pillows that feature a banana leaf pattern and a pair of solid green pillows.

These pillows will be great for any kind of party but especially if you’re doing a tropical-themed get-together.

The outdoor coffee table was the logical place to put everything we needed for our little party, everything’s within easy reach as well as letting us have a nice floral centerpiece.

All of the At Home items on the table for eating and drinking are melamine so that means “won’t break easily”, this includes the plates and trays as well as the wine goblets. All of this will be great for the patio or poolside.

I love this blue and green pattern and as you can see I also found some great cocktail napkins, polka-dots on one side and stripes on the other, all in green and white.

On the large round tray, I placed a centerpiece of blue and green flowers, I love taking things that are meant for one purpose and using them for something completely different. Here I used a glass and rattan hurricane candle holder as a vase, and I used an eight dollar pretty glass vase from At Home as an ice bucket for our bottle of Rosé wine.

If you want to take this party into the evening hours At Home has a great selection of outdoor lights as well, I was really happy to find these sets of green lights that went with our green and blue theme.

Remember that green is a great color to use, all shades of green go together, just like in nature.

With all the green grass, vines on the fence our green and blue color scheme works well in this beautiful backyard.

We also picked up some great Citronella candles at At Home, there are lots of choices and I went with the ones in the green metal bucket.

Everything I’ve used for this outdoor party is available at At Home, you can see all the great choices on their website or visit your local At Home store and lose yourself for a couple of hours exploring, creating, and finding great deals. Have Fun!!!
