I was very excited this week when I ran across the new collection of brass kitchen utensils from Food52 and Sir Madam. Sir Madam finds antique kitchen utensils and brings them into the 21st century with up to date materials such as the hot look of brass. The look of brass has made a major comeback over the last couple of years and shows no signs of going anywhere, so embrace it. There are times I like the warm look of brass and I think these utensils are awesome, I definitely want to start adding these to our utensil collection. There are some things I would have never thought of like the Egg Spoon (seen above), a large spoon with a hole in the bottom, allowing you to fish the egg out of the hot water while cradling the egg and draining the water all at the same time. Here’s a look at some of the utensils, visit Food52 here for a look at these items and several more. Enjoy!!!

Brass Skimmer
This Brass Colander Ladle is shown below being used for pasta, but you can easily use it to remove most anything from hot water.
I would never have thought about a Brass Slotted Serving Spatula, but I LOVE it.
This Brass Serving Ladle is genius, with the flat bottom you can stand it up on a dish or paper towel and not lay it down and have liquid run all over the stove top or counter.
