Bench made and hand finished are some of the words The Urban Electric Co. uses to describe the beautiful lighting they create. Founded in 2003, Urban Electric has quickly become one of the most respected and sought after lighting manufacturers around. From their headquarters in Charleston, South Carolina Urban Electric produces beautiful and unique lighting in a wide array of finishes. From traditional hanging fixtures with a twist to unusual sconces and single bulb fixtures, their interpretation of lighting is fun, elegant, and refreshing. Urban Electric works with architects and designers to create one of a kind lighting and if you can’t find exactly what you want just let them know and they’ll work with you to create the custom fixtures you’re looking for. Love the traditional lantern shape of the Chisholm Clean fixture, but done in a sleek and contemporary way. It comes in two finishes and you can also use small shades on the bulbs.

The Betty is one of my favorite hanging fixtures, I can definitely see this over a dining table or a pair over a kitchen island. With its scale design and unusual shape, the Betty comes in several different colors and also as a flush mount fixture.

The Hand Sconce, seen above and below, is the fixture from UEC that really got my attention. I would use this in a bathroom on each side of a mirror or down each side of a hallway and it comes in several different colors and finishes. Probably my favorite.

The Pop fixture is so simple and so fun, imagine a row of these down running down the center of a hallway ceiling or running across the top of a mirror in a bath, although the one below in the green bathroom is very effective. As you can see from the green bathroom pic you can change out the plate around the bulb or in this case add the wallpaper to it, very cool.

I’m always a sucker for a pendant fixture and the Mac checks everything off my list. I love how it looks like an old factory fixture but is done in sleek metal finishes, this brass and gray combo is awesome. It comes in several other colors and combinations.

Look how awesome the Mac looks over this table, this is the perfect fixture for use in a home or commercial setting. LOVE IT!!!
