I want to invite you today to Paris or maybe Portofino or we can run through fields of sunflowers, at least we can think and fantasize about it as we take in the beautiful art created by Agostino Veroni. Veroni is an Italian artist, born in the Italian port city of Livorno, who showed great talent for drawing as a child and was lucky in the fact that master painter Ferruccio Mataresi was a friend of his grandfather’s. Veroni studied classical painting under Mataresi, he’s encouraged to embrace his love of color and today he is known for his beautiful paintings depicting the Italian seaside, beaches, the hills of Tuscany and even American golf courses. I love love love the colors Veroni uses in his works as well as the abstractionism, I’m always a sucker for a hint at something rather than a full on painting of flowers. I found the paintings I’m sharing today on Etsy, they also have prints of his work. Enjoy!!! ( above image, Positano)
