Pantone Fall 2016~ Dusty Cedar

When I grew up there was a color that was popular with the ladies, especially in their clothing that was called Dusty Rose, I think Pantone’s Dusty Cedar is perhaps an updated version of that. Pantone says Dusty Cedar is “a Fall and Winter version of pinks we’re used to seeing in the Spring.” I have to be honest and tell you this is not my favorite color but I think done in small doses it’s doable, Dusty Cedar is definitely a warmer color than your usual pink and layers well with other pinks. I do like the name, if you’ve ever seen inside a cedar tree trunk or a cedar closet then you know the wood is this color. Here’s a peek at some of the things I found done up in Dusty Cedar, let us know what you think about Dusty Cedar, Enjoy!!! (above image via)

Dusty Cedar is a very natural color, it looks great here with white and the plaid blanket with Dusty Cedar is beautiful. (via)

Dusty Cedar has made its way into high fashion, here seen in the form of a Chanel evening gown. (via)

Isn’t this cake beautiful? Love how it gets darker from the top down and gold is a beautiful accent color for Dusty Cedar. (via)

Dusty Cedar is a great accent color, especially for a special chair like this one. (via)

Again, seen all through nature. (via)

If you have a special rug you want to use in a room then start with that and pull colors from it. Here we see Dusty Cedar has pulled from the rug and used in the color choice of the bedding. (via)

Have a wonderful day!!! (via)
