It’s just a little over a week until Halloween and one thing that always pops into my head this time of year is Harry Potter, so I was very excited when I found about the new art print posters for all the Harry Potter books. The posters are done by British graphic artist Olly Moss and were created for the re-release of the German audio versions of the HP books. Moss took his inspiration for the covers and posters from holiday travel posters during the “golden age of British railway.” Moss says he loves the idea of Harry getting on a train every year and heading off to a new adventure. Moss chose to use a very 1950’s color palette for the works and says he’s a huge fan of 1950’s design. Moss is known for his recreations of movie posters and putting his own spin on them. The new HP posters all have the same view of Hogwarts, with the castle being high on the hill and in foreground figures are seen having to do with that titles events, until you get to the end and The Deathly Hallows where we see the destruction of Hogwarts. If you are interested in purchasing the posters they are available to purchase for a limited time as a set of seven or individually and can only be bought through the Olly Moss website here, great holiday gift for that die-hard fan. Don’t forget the new Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them film comes out on November 18, for now, here’s a look at the new artwork. Enjoy!!!
