Greenery~Pantone Color of the Year 2017

January 3, 2017

By Tab Byrum

Let’s start off the new year with some color, Greenery to be exact. Greenery is the name given to the green color chosen by Pantone as the Color of the Year for 2017, every year Pantone names a color of the year according to what they see taking place in the world as well as moods and attitudes. Greenery is a bright shade of yellow-green that will definitely help you bring the outdoors in if that’s your goal. Greenery is meant to mimic the first days of Spring and a new beginning. Green is one of my favorite colors, it pairs so well with other colors and as I’ve said before it’s almost like a neutral color. Join me for a look at Greenery and see if it inspires you, Enjoy!!! I love doing a feature wall with color and pattern, here a floral wallpaper in Greenery helps introduce the bright color into a bedroom and pairs beautifully with white. (via)

Greenery and white are the main focus in this living area with hits of blue in upholstery, lamps, and artwork. (via)

Of course, Greenery is strong enough to stand alone, especially on a large piece like a sofa. (via)

Green and blue are one of my favorite color pairings. (via)

Window coverings are a great way to introduce color into a room, whether it’s draperies or in this case shutters. (via)

Greenery is great for both boys and girl’s rooms, here an antique bed is painted green for a fun splash of color. (via)

I think Greenery is an unexpected color to be used in commercial interiors, but it’s beautiful here in this black and gold bar. (via)

Black, White, and Green is one of my favorite color schemes. It’s sharp, crisp and elegant. (via)

Sometimes a simple grouping of flowers like these Viburnums is all it takes to perk up an area. (via)

I love these bright green chairs in a room full of cream and brown. (via)

I hope this post on Greenery inspires you to bring some color into your life, maybe green isn’t your thing but I know you have a favorite color so choose that color and use it in your home and wardrobe.

Words are my own.
