Margherita Missoni & PB Kids

I was recently going through magazines and read an interview with Margherita Missoni, she is the granddaughter of Missoni founders Ottavio and Rosita Missoni. Today Margherita designs for the House of Missoni as well as raises her family while living and working outside of Milan, so today we are going to take a look at her current collection she did for Pottery Barn Kids. I love collaborations like this one between Missoni and Pottery Barn Kids when you take two established brands, clink them together and see what happens. The Margherita Missoni Collection is fun, bright, and colorful, it draws a great deal on her Italian heritage and it’s quite possible you’ll find something to use in an adult area of your home, especially if you’re looking for fun and color. I thought today we would take a look at some of the Missoni pieces that can help you spark up your child’s room or perhaps another room in your home. Enjoy!!!

This is the Pom Pom Daisy Quilted Bedding collection, it’s all hand stitched and as you can see the center of the daisies on the quilt are pom poms of different colors.

The Linen Patchwork Quilted Bedding collection is also hand stitched and is perfect for a boys room. Geometric shapes combine in fun colors!!!

I always love fun or dramatic hardware and this Knob Set is great, 5 bright colors combine to create a fun way to brighten up any piece of furniture.

Pillows are also a great way to perk up a spot, these pillows (above & below) are a combination of needlepoint, knitted and embroidered.

Interesting lighting is always a great way to add pizazz to a room, these woven pendants are great. The Black Basket Pendant on the left would look great in a masculine space and the Yellow Basket Pendant on the right would look great in a boy or girl’s room, a garden room or a collection of 3 over a breakfast table.

I can think of a few grown-up girls I know who would enjoy having the Yellow Daisy Mirror in their homes. Whether it’s in a child’s room, a powder room or by the front door for one last look before heading out this mirror is cool.

When I first saw this I thought it was the cutest little stool but then saw it’s called the Dripped Side Table. However and wherever you use it, I want one ( or two).

Words are my own.
