Happy Valentines Day!!!! There’s nothing for me that says Valentines more than vintage Valentine cards, and the more puns the better. I love the artwork of vintage cards and the sayings they came up with, the fact that kids are usually used as well as all the inanimate objects and animals that suddenly have voices. I thought today in celebration of Valentines Day we would take a look at some vintage cards and their messages. I hope you all have a wonderful Valentines Day, Enjoy!!! (above image via)

What’s cuter than a kitten popping out of a jar of sugar cubes? (via)

This Valentine struck me as a little macabre, a child frozen in a block of ice. I guess it takes all kinds and it gets the message across. (via)

Dachshunds are one of my favorite dogs so this LONGING message speaks to me. (via

Perhaps a little creepy but gets the message across. (via)

Sometimes antique kitchen utensils are the best way to say I LOVE YOU. (via)

Who knew old fashioned bloomers could be a Valentine? (via)

I do love eggs. (via)

Even housework gets in on the Valentines gig. (via)

I hope you’ve enjoyed this little walk down memory lane and peek back at old-fashioned Valentines. Have a wonderful Valentines Tuesday!!!

Words are my own.
