Vintage Easter

April 14, 2017

By Tab Byrum

Hello and Happy Good Friday everyone, I love anything vintage, especially when it comes to the holidays. I thought today we would take a look at vintage Easter images as we prepare to celebrate the biggest holiday of the Spring season. I can never quite put my finger on why I like anything vintage, I suppose it has something to do with memories, a lot of these things remind me of grandparents and great-grandparents. I hope you enjoy what I’ve put together today and have a very Happy Easter. Check back later this morning when I’ll share ideas of using Lilies in your Spring and Easter arrangements. Enjoy!!! Beautiful blues in this card with pussy willow, lilies and of course an Easter Bunny. (via)

Purple and green are always a great color combination with a few yellow chicks thrown in. (via)

I love how the old cards always had animals doing human things, like this one where the bunnies are rowing a boat full of Easter eggs to their destination. (via)

and of course, some of the cards and images are quite funny, like this blue bird with her bonnet and umbrella. (via)

No Easter is complete without a chocolate egg or bunny!!! (via)

Lambs have always been a popular symbol of Easter. (via)

Of course Easter Eggs are still my favorite symbol of the Spring holiday. (via)

Love the pinks, purples, and greens of this card with a simple Easter Greetings message. (via)

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and a wonderful Easter holiday and I’ll see you back here on Monday as we begin a new week of watching the world of Design and I get ready for a trip to the Big Apple. Check back later this morning for a look at Lilies. Enjoy!!!

All words are my own.
