Last week we were focusing on different shades of blue and on one of the days I shared the above picture of this kitchen and the beautiful cabinets I thought were a light blue color, during my research for the post I found out the cabinets are painted a color called James River Gray from Benjamin Moore. I decided to do some more research on this color and see how else it’s being used and how it looks on other surfaces. The color is part of the America’s Colors collection from Benjamin Moore, this is a collection of 42 soft neutral colors that are geographically inspired and reflect some of the most well-traveled areas of the United States. James River Gray definitely goes back and forth for me between gray and blue, it’s a beautiful soft color that will work well with other colors or can definitely stand alone as the predominant color in a room of an otherwise neutral palette. Let’s take a look together at James River Gray and let me know what you think, how would you use this color and where do you think it looks best? Enjoy!!! (above image via)

James River Gray is a wonderful color for a child’s room or nursery. Here you can see how it works with different shades of cream and some touches of red. It would also look great with pinks. (via)

This Dining Room is a great look at the elegance you can get from James River Gray. It looks amazing with white trim and the wood tones of the floor and dining table. (via)

James River Gray is a wonderful exterior color, I could definitely live in this barn in a heartbeat. (via)

This gives you another look at how well wood tones work with James River Gray. (via)

James River Gray is a wonderful color if you want something neutral on your walls besides the usual white or cream, it works with so many other colors and isn’t over the top. (via)

Words are my own.
