At Home With Jenna Lyons

Jenna Lyons may or may not be a familiar name to you, if you are a follower of fashion and design then you probably know that she recently left J. Crew where she had served as both that companies Creative Director and President and worked there for a total of 27 years. In 2008 Lyon’s NYC home, a 5 story brownstone, appeared in Domino magazine and it immediately became the most pinned home on Pinterest, people are still talking about her yellow couches. Today Jenna Lyons is in a new space both personally and professionally, she currently has not decided what to do in her professional life but is entertaining several ideas and offers, but she has been spending time designing and decorating her beautiful 4th-floor loft in SoHo. The apartment is in a cast iron building and is 3,500 square feet, huge for NYC. The home is definitely done in the Jenna Lyon’s style, I particularly love her bedroom and bathroom. Join me for a photo tour of the home and I’ll go into more detail, I hope you enjoy this tour as much as I am. Enjoy!!! (above image via)

In the Living Room, the sofas are covered in a coral colored velvet fabric, a trend for 2018, the screen to the back left is done in a silk Hermes fabric and the artwork to the right of the fireplace is a Cy Twombly original. (via)

Some of Lyon’s favorite things are seen here on a dyed goatskin table. (via)

I love the color scheme in the kitchen, dark cabinets set off by brass and white/gray marble countertops. To the left, you’ll notice a brass countertop. (via)

Lyon’s bed is covered in Sable, I love all the gold hues in the room, from the bedspread to the nightstands and wallcoverings. (via)

From this angle, you can see into the master bathroom, I love the industrial black steel windows and door leading into the bath. (via)

In the Master Bath, the countertops and bathtub are clad in a Breccia Capraia marble, I love the black windows and brass fixtures. (via)

I definitely feel like her closet has a J Crew vibe to it, from the wood floor to the brass clothing rods and neatly stacked sweaters. (via)

Every woman and many men’s dream of a shoe closet, breathtaking. (via)

While we all can’t have Jenna Lyon’s apartment I always think it’s fun to see how other people live, decorate and design their homes. I hope you’ve enjoyed this tour and found some inspiration for your own life and home. Enjoy!!!
