She has a famous last name and now thanks to Real Housewives of New York City she has a famous face and today we are checking out her beautiful remodeled and redecorated NYC home. Carole Radziwill is one of the NYC Housewives famous for crazy antics and saying what she thinks as well as being a member of a famous family. Her husband was Anthony Radziwill, cousin to Caroline and John F. Kennedy Jr., his mother Lee is Jackie O’s sister. In a former life Carole was an award-winning TV producer at ABC and after the untimely death of her husband from cancer as well as JFK Jr. and his wife Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, who was Carole’s best friend, she has now stepped in front of the camera as an NYC Housewife. Carole Radziwill has also written two best-selling books, one entitled What Remains: A Memoir of Fate, Friendship, and Lovea memoir on her personal life, career in TV and the battle she and Anthony Radziwill faced with fighting his cancer, and in 2014 she published The Widow’s Guide To Sex and DatingRadziwill recently remodeled her SoHo condominium and the redo was prompted by her sofa which originally belonged to her famous mother-in-law. Today Carole and her designer, John Bossard, have updated the apartment from golds and browns to a sleeker look of blues and silvers. Join me for a look at gorgeous photos of the home from Architectural Digest and will get some more details with the images. Enjoy!!!

I love the entry hall of the home with the wall covered in rivets to give an upholstered feel to the area. Radziwill says one of her favorite things are upholstered walls, a little something she picked up from her elegant mother-in-law.

The sofa is the centerpiece of the room and it once belonged to Carole Radziwill’s mother-in-law, Lee Radziwill. The upholstery on the sofa was originally a Brunschwig and Fils velvet Tiger Print from the 1960’s. Radziwill says she’s not a hoarder and doesn’t get overly attached to things, thus the very edited and elegant look of her apartment.

This photo gives you a beautiful look at the living room in all of its cool colored glory. The blue drapes pick up on the blue velvet upholstery on the sofa and the pair of Dunbar side chairs work beautifully with the gray you can see in the rug and the wall color. Check out the beautifully papered ceiling.

Carole’s home office space shows off a few of her favorite things including photos and one of her three Emmy’s for her work in TV news, she also has Peabody Award.

The walls of Carole’s bedroom are covered in Gray ultra-suede and the room is accented with a Dusty Rose color. The wall behind the bed has been decorated with an art installation of flowers by artist Bradley Sabin.

In the picture at the top of the post you see a staircase leading up to what used to be a second bedroom in the condo, today Radziwill and Brossard have turned that into a large walk-in closet and dressing area. The Leopard carpet along with the silver and rose wallpaper on the ceiling make this ultra-fem room a wonderful place to relax and get ready for your day or night on the town.

I hope you enjoyed this tour of an elegant jewel box of a home. Remember, a home doesn’t have to be huge to beautiful, elegant and fun. Have a great weekend and Enjoy!!!
