Annie Lennox’s New CA Home

I love real estate and one of my favorite singers is Annie Lennox, one of the founders of the 80’s duo extraordinaire the Eurythmics, so it only made sense to look at the recent real estate acquisition Annie made in California in the Nichols Canyon area of Los Angeles. The home was originally built in the 1960’s and sits at the top of a hill. The home shares a long uphill driveway with two other homes and it has recently been expanded. Today the home has 2,700 square feet with three bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms. The home’s color scheme is almost all white and very contemporary with lots of straight sleek lines. The home has exposed posts and beams on the ceiling (which I LOVE) and floor to ceiling windows allow massive amounts of light into the residence. The home has a slim deck and an infinity edged swimming pool, the master bedroom has its own private deck and the view from throughout the home are stunning. Join me for a photo tour of the home and Enjoy!!!

Large floor to ceiling cantilevered windows allows natural light to stream into the house. The windows can be opened, the disappear into the walls to open up the kitchen area.

The home is minimal in decoration and furnishings, natural wood has been used in some areas to break up the all-white color scheme.

You can see here how long and wide the home and the beam and post ceiling.

In this view of the kitchen, we can get a good look at the concrete floors. Notice there are no big hanging light fixtures.

The Master Bedroom looks out onto the backyard that is raised up above the pool area.

Amazing views can be seen from the deck that stretches out over the canyon.

In this view, you can see a short wall that hides a staircase going down to another floor where the third bed and bath are. Wouldn’t it be amazing to be able to open up your house completely like this on a sunny, cool day?

Have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend and I’ll see you back here next week with lots of wonderful ideas and news from the world of design. Enjoy!!!
