Champagne Cocktails For Valentine’s Day

February 12, 2019

By Tab Byrum

Champagne is one of my favorite wines and ways to celebrate and as we approach Valentine’s Day I thought it would be fun to look at a few versions of Champagne Cocktails. Champagne cocktails are when you combine Champagne with other wines or liqueurs to create something completely new. The first Champagne Cocktail I ever had was served at a friend’s house many years ago and was Champagne, Angostura Bitters on a sugar cube, drop the sugar cube into a Champagne glass and add the Champagne. Very good. Today there are lots of versions of a Champagne cocktail, some involve Brandy or other flavored liqueurs. Whatever recipe you prefer, have one or two this Valentine’s Day and Enjoy!!! By Tab Byrum

It has cooled off dramatically here in Oklahoma and it rained all day yesterday, it really feels like Fall is here. I thought we would take a look at some of the new cocktails created by mixologists across the country, especially those that focus on the flavors of the Fall season and that will work well with some of our favorite Fall appetizers and meals. We’re going to look at 10 cocktails, starting this morning with the first 5 and check back later today for the second 5 links and recipes. I’m not posting the recipes themselves but I am providing the link to the websites where I found the cocktails, just click on anything orange under the cocktails photo. Eating Out In San Miguel de Allende

September 20, 2017

By Tab Byrum

Let’s face it, one of the things we all look forward to when on vacation is what and where we are going to eat. We were not disappointed in the choices we had of places to dine in San Miguel, while we chose pretty much authentic Mexican for all of our meal choices we did branch out, especially at lunch, sometimes you get tired of chips and salsa and are wanting a good salad or maybe some pasta. Today I’m going to share with you a list and look at most of the restaurants we visited on our recent trip to San Miguel and I’ll try to remember what we ate where. I shared a lot of these on my Facebook page, here. For now, pull up a chair and Enjoy!!!
