This time of year one of the easiest flowers to find to buy and work with in home arrangements are Lilies. I personally love lilies, I love all the colors they come in, the beautiful colors from white to pink and some in-between and I enjoy the scent of Lilies. I know some people don’t enjoy the scent of Lilies and I have a couple of clients that really sneeze when Lilies are around. Lilies have a lot going for them, in addition to their color and scent, they also are a great flower to add height to any arrangement and drama and Lilies are one of those flowers that you can create smaller and more simple arrangements by using a couple of Lilies in a small vase, or mix them with other flowers in a shorter vase, like Hydrangeas, and you have a great centerpiece. Today, as we head into Easter weekend, we are going to take a look at Lilies in their natural environment as well as floral arrangements using Lilies. Have a wonderful weekend and Enjoy!!! Today we are looking at Delphiniums or you may know them better as Larkspur, another tall flower to add height and drama to your arrangements. Yesterday we talked about Bells of Ireland, but unlike Bells that only come in green, Delphiniums come in a variety of bright, beautiful colors. To learn and see more on Delphiniums click here to see a post I did in July 2014. Enjoy!!!

Dramatic, green, and tall are a few of the words we might use to describe Bells Of Ireland, a wonderful flower that will add those three things and so much more to any flower arrangement. Bells are one of my favorites, they work well with lots of other flowers, including Hydrangeas, Lilies, and Tulips. Join me for a look at arrangements using Bells of Ireland, click here to see a more in-depth post I did on Bells last Summer. Enjoy!!!

I love roses, I know some people aren’t crazy about roses and their scent but they’re one of my favorite flowers. Roses come in every color of the rainbow and add so much a bouquet or arrangement, I have to say I’m not crazy about arrangements made up of just roses but I do like them worked in with other flowers. For a better look at some great uses of Red and Pink Roses click here to see a post I did back in 2015. Enjoy!!!

Today we are looking at Alstroemeria, one of my favorite flowers to use in fresh bouquets. Alstroemeria comes in so many wonderful colors, whether you’re looking for purples, reds, yellows, pinks, or all white you can find what you’re looking for in Alstroemeria. Back in 2015, I did a more in-depth look at this little flower and all the wonderful punch it packs, to see that post and more beautiful images of Alstroemeria click here. Gerbera Daisies are one of those flowers that most everyone loves, they come in bright colors with either yellow, green or black center are work well with most other flowers. I love adding Gerberas to arrangements for a big punch of color and texture with their long beautiful petals. I did a more in-depth look at Gerberas in April 2015 which you can click and see here. If you want to add height and drama to your flower arrangements then you want Gladiolus. Glads come in all colors and with their wonderful height, they add a definite touch of WOW. I recently helped a client with a big birthday party in her home and I did a large vase full of Glads on the dessert table and it was gorgeous. For a more in-depth look at Gladiolus click here to see a post I did in August 2014. Enjoy!!!

Today in Spring Flowers we’re looking back at a post I did on Lily of the Valley, a delicate flower resembling bells and a favorite in Bridal bouquets, especially in England. It’s not always easy to find so grab it up if you do. For a more in-depth look at Lilly of the Valley click here to see my post in May of 2015, Enjoy!!!

Spring has sprung and we are headed towards Easter in less than two weeks, so I thought we would take a look back at posts I’ve done on different flowers that start being available now. Today we are going to start with Hydrangeas, one of my favorite flowers to use and one that I use many times as a base for arrangements. Click here to see an in-depth post I did back in 2015 on Hydrangeas.

I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love Peonies, that beautiful Spring flower created by layer after layer of delicate petals that gives off a glorious scent and when opened fully looks like a magnificent ballgown. I was trying to decide on a post to do today to wind up the week and at the same time I’m working on a party that a client is throwing in their home this weekend, one of the requests of the hostess is that I use lots of peonies in the arrangements I’m doing around the house. Peonies have inspired people for centuries appearing in paintings and floral arrangements and of course today we can gather a more permanent version of peonies in wallpaper. Today I want to share some beautiful images of peonies with you as well as both some beautiful and whimsical images of peonies on wallpaper. I hope you get some inspiration and bring some peonies to your house this Spring, have a great weekend and Enjoy!!! (above image via)
