Over the weekend one of Oklahoma’s favorite citizen athletes, Russell Westbrook, premiered his new Lifestyle Sneakers. This is the second collection Westbrook has worked on with the Jordan brand for famed athletic wear company, Nike. Westbrook has been with the Oklahoma City Thunder ever since the team moved here from Seattle before the 2008-2009 season and we LOVE this guy. He’s an amazing athlete and an amazing person who gives as good as he gets and will be inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame later this Fall with Michael Jordan coming to town to introduce Westbrook at the ceremony. Russell says fashion is very important to him and something he wants to pursue once he’s done playing basketball. His new shoe collection uses wonderful fabrics such as leather, suedes, and camo and colors that can be paired with everything from khakis to denim and definitely add style to your outfit. In the words of RW and his mantra, “Why Not?”.  It’s not too early to be thinking Holiday gift giving, here’s a closer look, Enjoy!!! (above image via)

As you know by now I love Converse tennis shoes, they’re easy to wear, lightweight, fun and now they come in several great designs and colors. I decided for Father’s Day to take a peek at what the latest shoes look like at the iconic shoe brand and I really like what I saw. Whether it’s hightops or traditional sneakers you can find something at Converse, I love the bright colors and fabrics they’re using. They have shoes with stars, rainbow stripes and some gorgeous leather hightops that are quilted ( I may need those) as well as some great slip on sneakers that will be great house shoes. Join me for a run through the great shoes from Converse and hopefully there’s something you’re dad will love, Enjoy!!!

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II

March 11, 2016

Chuck Taylor has gotten a “facelift” at Converse, although you may not notice a lot on the outside, you will definitely notice it on the inside. Converse has teamed up with Nike and the Chuck Taylor II’s are lined with a Nike Lunarlon sockliner, the liner is a soft and lightweight foam core that offers a great deal of cushioning. The Nike technology redistributes the force of impact evenly throughout your foot when you step down, they’ve also added a non-slip tongue and a micro-suede lining that improves the breathability of the shoe, allowing your shoe to breathe more and feet to sweat less. Some of the Converse will also feature Reflective Print so you can be seen more easily at night, Converse wants everyone to be clear that these aren’t a special collection but an update to the old favorites.
