It’s hard for me to pinpoint exactly what it is about the artwork of Kelsey Garrity Riley that appeals to me the most, whether it’s the colors she chooses, the simplicity and playfulness of the work, the flow of the lines, or the subject matter. Whatever it is I like all of it. Riley was raised in Germany and Belgium and came to America to study her craft at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she graduated in 2010. Today Kelsey lives in Brooklyn, has her own Etsy shop online where she sells originals pieces of artwork as well as prints, she also has a line of greeting cards and she does beautiful book illustrations. Today I want to share images of her work from her own website at KGRiley.com. Enjoy!!!

The beginning of a new year is the perfect time to talk to you about today’s design focus, for the last few years I’ve been noticing beautiful desktop calendars on some of my client’s desks, when I investigated and asked around I found out they were are from Karen Adams Designs in Memphis. The calendars are very colorful, fun and sparkly with the decoration theme of each month being taken from the major holiday in that month, the weather in that month or some symbol for the time of year.
I began investigating and found out that Karen Adams produces a whole host of beautiful stationery and desktop merchandise.
