Today we continue to look at animal print, yesterday it was how it’s used in the homes we live in, today it’s how it’s used in the clothes we wear.
Decades ago it became quite chic to wear coats, hats and other articles of clothing made from real animal skins. It wasn’t uncommon to see a starlet or celebrity of the day in a leopard or cheetah skin coat and hat. (above via)
Eventually, that trend let to fabric designers and makers creating fabrics made to look like animal skins. Now you could get a blouse, trousers or any article of clothing made to look like animal skin.
