Bold Blooms

Recently in a post I did on Design Trends for 2015, I talked about how we would be seeing more use of large scale fabrics on furniture and in window treatments.  Well, I’m happy to report that we are already seeing that trend show up in retail outlets.  Late last week I had to run to one of the local malls and while I was there I took a spin through some of the stores, I saw large scale florals in both Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma.  That same day I had to run by Ketch Design Center here in Oklahoma City and while I was there I saw some sample drapes they had made up with a bold, large floral fabric.  I of course came home and spent that evening searching the internet for more signs of flora in design and found some.  So today we are taking a look at big, bold blooming products for use in our homes.  Enjoy!!!

This bedding from Pottery Barn is called Flora Garden, imagine sleeping in a garden.

This is the Fauna bedding collection, also from Pottery Barn.

This large floral is the Juliette collection from Pottery Barn.

I really like all the bold colors in the New Moon Dinnerware Collection from Williams Sonoma.

Williams Sonoma also has linens to match the New Moon dishes.

I think I’ve shown you this wallpaper before, but I can’t resist Paper Roses from Cole & Son.

Rhododendron blossoms make up Bourlie wallpaper, also from Cole & Son.

All 4 of these Bell Jar light fixtures are from the Nature Inspired collection at Canopy Designs, Ltd

Last but not least are these three bright and bold floral fabrics, all 3 from Kravet.

What are your thoughts on the bright and bold floral trends we are seeing?  Let me know, have a great day!!!
