Not so long ago the thought of having orchids in decorative containers around your home was cost prohibitive for most people, but not anymore. Today we are seeing orchids in more and more people’s homes, what was once only for the very wealthy is now available in grocery stores and florist shops at a very reasonable price. I recently picked up a beautiful white orchid in a nice ceramic pot for a client’s bathroom at Whole Foods and it was less than $30, granted that’s not super cheap but it’s no where near the cost orchids used to be.
Orchids in every room all over the house would be awesome, I mean have you seen how many orchids the Housewives of BH have, if it’s good enough for Kyle, Lisa R. and Yolanda it’s good enough for me. I think you should pick a place where you would like to see a beautiful orchid every day in your life and depending on the size of the space one orchid in a container or 3 or 4 orchids in a decorative container may do the trick.
Orchids are relatively easy to pot and take care of and there is all kinds of information on the internet on “how to” care for orchids. So check out the orchids next time your getting groceries or call a florist and see if they can help you, if they’ll do it you can take in a container you already own and they’ll put orchids in it for you. Here’s some pics of orchids to give you some inspiration, Enjoy!!!
