Up, up and away are the words that first come to mind when looking at the artwork of Korean artist Jinho Kee. I couldn’t find a lot of information on Kee other than he’s from South Korea and graduated in 2006 with a degree in Art Education from Hongik University. I first saw his work at Saatchiart.com but then was able to find a website belonging to him showing much more of his work at artkee.com. I’m loving all his balloon paintings, at first I thought they had to be photographs but if you look closely you will see the subtle brush strokes and his ability to capture the reflection of light in the surface of the balloons is amazing. Whether it’s a grouping of multi-colored balloons, balloons of all one color or novelty balloons like Hello Kitty, he captures the colors and fun that balloons bring out in all of us. Take a look at his work at artkee.com or Saatchiart.com, here are some pics of some of his paintings, Enjoy!!!
