Color Inspiration: Blue & Gray

One of my favorite color combinations is navy blue and gray, I’ve always liked it in clothes, you know a navy blazer and gray wool slacks always looks sharp. I have been recently thinking about redoing our living room and want to incorporate gray and then I saw this navy blue lamp at Pottery Barn and knew that was my inspiration piece right there.

I love the color of this lamp, the shape of the lamp and the brass accents, so that’s what led to today’s post. I really want to lighten up the walls in our living room, they’re currently red and I want to do a white and recover our current red sofa in a gray and bring in gray and navy blue accessories. Here’s some pics I’m using for inspiration along with these awesome lamps, Enjoy!!!

This bedroom is very Hollywood/Masculine, love the striped wallpaper.

I could totally get into Navy Blue cabinets, especially with those beautiful gray and white countertops.

Here’s a kitchen done in today’s’ inspiration colors, gray cabinets around the perimeter and a navy blue island.

This room is a little dark for me,  but I like certain pieces such as the sofa and the lamps.

Great choice for a kid’s bedroom, this would easily take them through several ages.

Gray grass cloth on the walls and a statement rug on the floors and a navy sofa, WOW!!!!! Love the brass and chrome accents.

Isn’t this bathroom great!!! I love the navy hexagon tile on the floor and the wall tile.

Another great kid’s room, floor boards on the wall are another trend we’re seeing, need to look into that some more.

This room has lots of white going on with a navy blue ottoman taking center stage, you can see a gray sofa with blue and white pillows on the right.

Paisley is always great, and this gray paired with navy is very classic.

Love everything about this room, especially the Roman Shades on the windows with blue trim.

Several shades of gray in this room with a chic blue sofa for a punch of color.

This room seems to take its cue from the beautiful blue and gray abstract art on the wall, works for me.

Words are my own, images are courtesy of Pottery Barn and Pinterest.
