Looking at another pattern today in the world of design, Stripes. I love stripes of all sizes, whether they’re a wild bold striped wallpaper or paint treatment on the wall or the delicate stripes of a pinstripe suit. I can’t really tell you why stripes appeal to me so much, when I was a kid I loved striped wallpaper, was fascinated with candy canes and I always wanted a barber pole of my own (moving slanted stripes) but that’s a whole different post. Stripes are always popular in both home decor and fashion, whether they’re vertical and adding height to a room and a person or horizontal and providing a whole new element of visual interest. Let’s take a look at the world of stripes and what they have to offer, Enjoy!!!

I’m not sure if I could look at the floor while walking down this staircase, kind of messes with your eyes, but I like it.

A beautiful Oscar de la Renta Striped creation.
This is a great idea for a focus wall, horizontal stripes look awesome.
We’ve talked about decorating the ceiling before, this striped wallpaper is perfect to bring the eye up.
