Pantone Fall 2016 ~ Spicy Mustard

I love yellow, I love spice and I love mustard so Pantone’s tenth color called Spicy Mustard is a big YES for me. Pantone hails this color as a spicier and zestier yellow than from previous seasons and is an elegant color to work with any of the other colors in the Pantone Fall 2016 forecast. I love yellow with so many colors, it looks elegant and sophisticated when paired with gray or black, it’s bright and fun with blue and red and is strong enough to stand on its own in a bold piece of clothing or furniture. Let’s take a look at Spicy Mustard as an accent color or standing alone as a statement, Enjoy!!! (above image via)

A color like Spicy Mustard is the perfect hue to bring life and focus on an all-white room like this bedroom. (via)

Yellow fashion accessories make some people nervous, they feel like yellows wash them out especially when worn close to the face like this scarf. This is a great looking scarf, beautiful with the cable knit and big buttons, it would look great with navy blue, black or white. (via)

Here we can see a chair done in Spicy Mustard looking beautiful in a white room with gray accessories. (via)

Spicy Mustard is a strong color that makes a statement all on its own, whether it’s in fashion or home decor. (via)

I love this image showing how great Spicy Mustard looks when teamed up with blue and white, very clean, crisp, and classic. (via)

Yellow in this room is not only the focus with the bright yellow sofa but also a strong accent color in drapes and decorative accessories. (via)

Spicy Mustard, black, and white is a classic color combination, especially in fashion. The combo also looks just as striking in home decor as you can see in the picture below. One piece done in a color like Spicy Mustard is all a room needs when paired with a classic black and white color scheme. (via)

Here we have a Spicy Mustard ottoman bringing our eye to the center of the room with a hot pink chair above it bringing some sass to this otherwise classic room. (via)

Words are my own.
