Pumpkins Of Heavy Metal

I’m constantly amazed at the wonderful decor artists and designers are able to come up with using unconventional materials including metal. We’ve been talking about neutral color schemes in Fall decorating and today we continue along that theme by looking at pumpkins and gourds made of metal. I recently placed some beautiful galvanized metal pumpkins from Transpac Imports in a client’s home and that got me to looking around for what other companies and people are doing. I have to be honest and say I didn’t find a lot but I think that will change since the metal fall decor was very popular this year. Here’s a look at the pumpkins I did use plus a few more ideas. Enjoy!!!

All of these pumpkins are from the Galvanized Metal Pumpkin collection from Transpac Imports. I love their neutral color, it works well with all the grays and tans we’re all doing, and since it’s a metal the pumpkins add a whole new look and feel.

As you can see from these four photos the pumpkins all come in different shapes and each of the shapes come in small, medium and large sizes from Transpac Imports.

I had to include a couple more types of metal pumpkins, these are from the recycling category. These pumpkins are made from old wind turbines that sit on top of homes and keep the air circulating in the attic areas. Love it!!! (via)

These may be my favorites, Jack-O-Lantern faces made from old shovels and fuel cans. Repurposing at its best. (via)

Words are my own.
