I never cease to be amazed at the creative abilities of humans, especially the ability to create the look of something out of something else, case in point are the digital creations of New York artist Nick Misani. Misani is known as a skilled artist in typography and in his new Fauxsaics collection, he combines his typography talents with photography to create extremely realistic digital art. Each piece is based on a city, whose name appears in the work, the colors, tile text, and the backdrop of each work is meant to reference the city and all are created digitally including the digitally inserted images of the artist’s feet. As an example, the Fauxsaic for the city of Boston is done in traditional black and white with letters and decorations that would be at home on the front of any Boston Pub and the date of the city’s incorporation. To see more of Misani’s work visit his website here, for now here are more images from his Fauxsaic collection, Enjoy!!!
