The Queen of all media continues to grab up palatial properties around America, especially on the west coast. Word is Oprah Winfrey recently purchased 43 acres on Orcas Island, the largest island in the San Juan Islands off the coast of Washington State. With the purchase of land, she also acquired three thousand feet of unspoiled beach that faces west as well as a compound that features a 4 bedroom home that measures more than 7,000 square feet. The compound also has a guest house, measuring almost 3,000 square feet, that houses four bedrooms and 3 bathrooms where either guests or staff can reside during visits to the island. Join me today for a tour of the island and the beautiful home of Oprah that she paid almost $8.3 million dollars for. Enjoy!!!

The beautiful gates and drive leading onto the new estate purchased by Oprah Winfrey on Orcas Island in Washington state.

The main house has a copper and slate roof and is clad in wood and stone.

The home has a contemporary cabin feel to it with exposed wood and beams used inside the home as well as stone. Multiple seating and dining areas are seen here in a living area.

The kitchen has tons of workspace with a huge island being the centerpiece. Notice the fireplace on the right that is a pizza oven.

A wood and iron banister snakes along both sides of the main staircase of the house.

Reclaimed wood was used throughout the house as you can see here on the ceiling of this room.

The main house has 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and 2 half baths. You can see this rooms wonderful view to wake up to every morning.

The bathrooms have a sleek and definite northwest feel to them but you can also see they’ve used very traditional marble on the floors and marble subway tiles on the wall behind the sinks. At the back of the photo, you can see a bathtub peeking around the corner, so this bathroom is made up of multiple rooms.

The back view of the main house, I love the red windows.

This is a Tea House sitting under trees with a wonderful view of the surrounding water and islands.

Orca’s Island is home to an old growth forest which is part of Moran State Park.

One of the beautiful beaches near Oprah’s new home and compound in Washington state.
