Happy Friday!!!! I’m off to Hydro to see mom and dad today, Dad has been feeling under the weather so I’m going to see them, have lunch and help mom with some holiday baking. It’s been years since we’ve tried our hand at decorated Christmas cookies but we’re going to give it a whirl today. There are so many amazing ideas for decorated cookies, whether it’s using Royal Icing, Buttercream, Colored Sugars, the possibilities are endless. We are going to be using buttercream on cookies cut out in holiday shapes. I’ll share pics if they turn out good. I also have a couple of recipes I want to try for some others that I’ll share. I hope everyone has a great weekend, we had a business party last night and a client’s Christmas party tomorrow night and I plan on doing some cooking during the day on Saturday and Sunday. I leave you now with images and visions of gorgeous Christmas cookies and links to the recipes for more information, hopefully, to inspire you to try your hand at baking and decorating your own. Enjoy!!! (above via)

Thanksgiving Tablescape Ideas
November 16, 2018
By
Last year I shared some great ideas for decorating your Thanksgiving Table and I wanted to revisit that post. A lot of the ideas were simple and easy and a lot of the items needed can be picked up at the grocery store, especially since so many grocers are carrying flowers now. To visit the Thanksgiving Tablescape post click here. We’re a little less than a week away from Thanksgiving so plan that menu and decide on your table decor. Have a great weekend and I’ll see you back here next week. Enjoy!!!
10 Fourth of July Party Ideas
June 27, 2018
By
One week from today is our nation’s birthday, 242 years old, and it’s my favorite Summertime holiday. 4th of July was always a big deal for my family growing up, we always went to my Grandma’s house and she would have a couple of ice cream freezers going, frying chicken and everyone else would bring side dishes. Today I thought I would share some fun ideas I’ve recently found to help you make your 4th of July Party even MORE fun. Whether it’s food on a stick or fun straws, fruit dishes, decorations or something you can accomplish with spray paint or a quick trip to the party store, I’ve got you covered. Get out a pencil and paper to take notes or start googling and let’s make this the best 4th EVER!!!! Enjoy!!!! (via)
Golden Vases
October 20, 2016
By
For many people, flowers are a major part of their tablescape when it comes to the seasons and holidays and one way to punch up your arrangements is to paint your vases different colors to go with your decor. Yesterday we spray painted real pumpkins gold and today we are going to add golden vases and flowers to our tablescape. I bought the vases we’re going to use today at the Dollar Tree, the dollar stores are great places to pick up items such as inexpensive vases, they have different sizes and shapes that add interest to your table along with varying heights. I placed the vases upside down in a cardboard box and painted them, the paint dries very quickly. I painted the vases early one morning then showered, flipped the them over and gave them a second coat from the top down, went on a bunch of errands and a couple of appointments with clients then came home and was able to use the vases for photos. I hope this gives you some inspiration, Enjoy!!!
10 Days Of Fall Decor: Harvest Mantel With At Home
September 23, 2016
By
For my At Home post for this month, I chose their Harvest Mantel challenge. I love decorating fireplace mantels, the fireplace is usually the focus of a room and one of the first things you see when entering a room so a beautifully decorated fireplace is always fun. I called one of my longtime clients, I decorate her home every year for all the major holidays and help her with her parties as well as any interior design work she does in her home. I told her I wanted to decorate her formal living room mantel because I wanted to do something different, I wanted a mantel that was more contemporary in look as well as use fall decorations in a neutral color palette. At Home has lots of Fall merchandise in white and gold which works so well with the grays, creams, taupes, and whites that so many people are using right now. I’ll stop talking and share pictures with you and explain my thinking along the way. Enjoy!!!
At Home and Outdoor Entertaining
May 31, 2016
By
I’m very excited about today’s post, it’s my first post for a collaboration I’m doing with At Home. If you’re not familiar with At Home they are a Texas based company with large stores across the country filled with merchandise focusing on what you need to live in and love your home both inside and outside. I’m one of the several bloggers chosen by At Home to work with them, every month they’ll be giving us a choice of challenges, we choose a challenge and make it happen using products from their “aisles and aisles of style”. For my first challenge, I chose outdoor entertaining. I went to my local At Home store and found tons of merchandise I can use to freshen up a friends patio and help them throw a little party. I settled on a color theme of blue and green and as you’ll see from the pictures today it turned out great, join me for a tour of the punched up patio and get a small taste of all the great things available at At Home, Enjoy!!!

Shopping Verdigris of OKC
October 7, 2014
By
Yesterday we talked about the design trend of Industrial Design, and that got me thinking about a shop here in Oklahoma City that Michael and I recently visited called Verdigris. Verdigris is one of those shops that has some of everything, if you have a creative mind this is like being a kid in a candy store. It’s located in downtown OKC in an area called Mid-town, a very up and coming part of Downtown Oklahoma City.
Join me today as I take you on a tour of Verdigris and all they have to offer. Be inspired and Enjoy!!!
