Last week I did a post on the new SoHo apartment of TV personality Bethenny Frankel and in the post, I shared a couple of photos of her daughter’s bedroom. In one of the photos, there are lucite and brass shelves on the wall above her daughter’s desk (as seen above) and I REALLY like that look. I started checking them out online and there are several places to order but today I want to share just some looks I found online. I really like the look of these shelves, the way they almost disappear on the wall and I also like how they weigh so much less than glass or wood shelves. I’ve always like the look of glass shelving but it can get very heavy on the wall and on the pocketbook, I also always live in fear of glass shelves buckling or falling off the wall. I also like the look of the brass brackets that are used to mount the shelves on the wall, they give an elegant look to what otherwise would be just wall shelves. I definitely want to explore lucite and brass shelves for our home to display some collectibles and make something we have and enjoy a little more interesting. Enjoy!!! (above image via)

8 Colors Of Desk Chairs From Lexmod
October 7, 2016
By
We are in desperate need of new desk chairs at our house, Michael and I share one of our spare bedrooms as an office/computer room. Michael is currently sitting in an office chair we bought years ago, the leather is cracked on the seat part of the chair as well as on the arms and I’m sitting in a wooden chair that goes with our kitchen table. I have been trying to wait until we redo the office space, we want to move the office to another room and turn the current office into a walk-in closet, but I don’t think I can wait. I’ve decided to go ahead and get a couple of new chairs, I know what direction I want to go as far as decorating the new office space and I know I want nice office chairs in a color that aren’t brown or black. I was recently searching for chairs and found the Lexmod website and I think I’ve found what I want as far as design now I just need to settle on a color, right now I’m leaning towards Gray, Orange or White. I’m going to share with you two styles of the desk chairs Lexmod offers but show you all their great color choices, their chairs are adjustable as far as height and the ability to lean back in them. Hopefully, you’ll see something here you like as well, Enjoy!!!
Idlewild Co.

I love anything with the word boutique in it, whether it’s a boutique hotel or a boutique bakery or in the case of Idlewild Co., a boutique paper company, I’m on board. We were out running around last weekend over the holiday and went into a wonderful shop on Automobile Alley in Oklahoma City and that’s where I stumbled onto some gorgeous prints by Idlewild. I came home and looked them up on the world wide web and love what I’m seeing. Idlewild was founded in 2010 by artist Katie Gastley, Katie began Idlewild by exhibiting some of her paintings at a Brooklyn craft fair, people took notice, began asking her for special items and a stationery company was born. Today Katie and her cohorts operate out of Florida and their products are sold online as well in stores across the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia and Japan. We’ll definitely be paying Idlewild another visit in the near future, as for today here’s a look at some of their gorgeous products. Enjoy!!!

Gifts For Dad: Rawlings Specialty Leathers
June 6, 2016
By
It’s time to start thinking about Sunday, June 19th which is Father’s Day, so I’m going to share some great things I’ve found that’ll make your Dad’s day extra special. Rawlings, of course, is an American based sports equipment company and has been around since 1887 specializing in baseball equipment and if your dad is into baseball or just enjoys anything well made from fine leathers than you need to check out the Rawlings Specialty Leather department on their website. In addition to baseballs and gloves, Rawlings is now producing beautiful leather accessories for men and women, but for the upcoming Father’s Day, we are going to focus on items for Dad. You can pick up most anything for Dad, from a leather chair to iPad covers, wallets of all sizes, organizers and money clips. I love that the items are made from the same leathers as their other products and many of them have great red baseball stitching as an accent, I enjoyed playing little league and high school baseball but maybe not as much as I’m enjoying these pieces, check ’em out for Dad and Enjoy!!!
Oliver Gal~ Blueprints
April 7, 2016

One of the man things they do at Oliver Gal that I like is the Blueprints collection, this is where they’ve taken normal everyday things like a chair or a child’s toy and done a technical blueprint drawing of the subject. They’ve also done this technique with lots of items from pop culture like certain elements from Star Wars and Apple computers. I think these would be great in a child’s room, a man’s office or study, a playroom or game room. I’ve recently ordered some that I’m going to use in our bathroom that I’ll share with you as soon as they arrive and we get them installed. Let’s have a look at everyday things in a blueprint world, Enjoy!!! ( above, Stethoscope 1882 )

Poppin Back To School
August 25, 2015
By
It’s that time of year, back to school time. Here in Oklahoma some kids have been back in school for a few weeks and the rest just went back last week and the college kids start back this week I believe. I know we have friends in other parts of the country that their kids don’t go back until after Labor Day, so I thought today we would take a look at what’s available for back to school from Poppin.
Poppin is the company I told you about earlier this summer and their great home office products, well they also have equally as great merchandise for your kids from Grade School through College. Poppin sent me the lookbook of their back to school merchandise and if you see anything you like you are in luck because a lot of their BTS merchandise is 20% off, just visit Poppin here and check it out and get the promo code for the sale. Here’s a quick look I put together, Enjoy!!!
From Storage To Stylish
August 6, 2015

I’m very intrigued by something I’ve been seeing lately on the internet, the trend of converting a storage building or shed into a liveable, useable space.
Most of the articles I’ve read have referred to them as the new man cave or she cave, and it makes sense once you’re done using it for storage to convert it into something you’ll enjoy. When you have a nice storage building you already have the existing outside structure and depending on how nice you want it to be, you can insulate and drywall the inside, you can run electricity to it and the ones I’ve seen that have bars in them have some plumbing as well, so you are basically making them a small extension of your home. I would definitely consider doing this down the road with our storage barn, here’s a little inspiration. Enjoy!!!
